Upgrades

Speaker Upgrade.

The single most effective upgrade you can make is to replace the original Jensen special design speakers.

We recommend Eminence speakers for excellent sound at a reasonable price

Filter capacitor replacement.

Electrolytic capacitors will deteriorate over the years as the electrolyte dries out, 

this can cause increased hum.

Carbon composition resistor replacement. 

Vintage amps used carbon composition resistors. These resistor deteriorate over time.

They also generate more electrical noise (hiss) than modern metal film resistors.

This upgrade is not needed on re-issue amps.
